I have traced the family history of Leanna and Richard Ayers. The researched was done from the Census Bureau records. I am preparing a book with this information, please give me the family tree. Thanks
I can not estimate the time because I put it down and then picked it back up for about one year. I used ancestry.com. This website has the Census Bureau information. But you still need to use come investigative skills and reasoning because names were not spelled the way the people spell it now. If you need help let me know.

I will give this information to whom ever wants it. But guess what I need in return? I would like to update the family tree with your family information. Please send me a family tree starting with your mother and father. Then put all your sisters, brothers and their children. I am making a book for my mother's 80th birthday. I would love to have the latest family update in her book. I plan on finishing documenting the family tree my November. The updates maybe an ongoing process, but I can give you what I have by November. I think your mother is coming to the 80th Birthday Party. I will send you a copy by your mother. I think everyone will enjoy seeing the family tree and this can be passed down through the generations.
One of the most surprising things that I found was that Mama Lianne's grandfather had a personal income value of $800 in 1870. Boy he must have been rich.
Tracing our family history is great! I was wondering what prevents you from going back further? Also, I heard that we can now trace our ancestry back to Africa using DNA for a reasonable price.
I have not been on this site for a while. Sorry for late reply to this message.
The reason I could not go any further is because I used the Census Records on Ancestry.com. The Census did not record slave names. Therefore, in 1860 there were no names of black americans slaves. The first record of names were in 1870. Please note, that in 1870, there was only one black Brashers in Perry County currently called Decatur. It was William Brasher which was Lee Anna (my grandmother), gradfather. WOW!!! William Brasher is George Brasher father. George Brasher is Lee Anna's father.
The 1860's records of Perry County shows the purchase of slaves by the Brashers. Trace completed.
We probably can go further because we can look at the slave records in Perry County to see what part of Africa the slave came from. We can also get a DNA trace.
